Lucy Gonzalez Chairez

Lucy Gonzalez Chairez - Age 49 of San Jose, CA passed away peacefully on Friday March 10, 2017 surrounded by her wife, daughter, parents, family & friends at Good Samaritan Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Lucy was born in Laredo, TX on September 19, 1967 to Salvador & Teresa Gonzalez. She came to San Jose at the young age of 6.

Her mom & her family were the most important things in her life. Lucy was a happy go luck kind of girl and is loved by many! She made friends with everyone she encountered; it never mattered what race, gender, religion, or social status people had she loved everyone!

Lucy enjoyed spending time with her grandson Jerimiah. She loved to travel; loved music, and always enjoyed the simple things in life! She loved to play pool; she was the captain of the original women’s Savoy team who later was adopted by Beefy’s. She always looked forward to Wednesday night pool league. Lucy was also a big sports fan and loved her Dallas Cowboys & the SF Giants!

Lucy spent her entire career being an amazing dental assistant. She was loved by the doctors she assisted, her fellow co-workers, and her patients. She always took care of her viejito Dr. Kashani; he was extra special to her.

Lucy leaves behind her wife Sandra Chairez, daughter Suzana Marie Riojas, grandson Jerimiah Jose Riojas. Her parents Salvador and Teresa Gonzales; brothers Pete, Samuel, Salvador, & Jorge Gonzalez & her sisters Rosa Perez & Maria Teresa Patino. She also leaves behind an enormous amount of nieces and nephews, family and loving friends.
