Consuelo was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico to Felipe and Piedad Camacho. Because of a mix-up with her birth certificate, she had two birthdays (July 25 and August 6). She always loved having double birthdays because she was born to be celebrated. Consuelo passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was married to her husband, Enrique Robles, for 54 wonderful years. She is survived by Enrique and their five children – Connie Galvan (Arthur), Jesus Robles (Lourdes), Maria Robles, Susan Mendoza (Michael), and John Robles (Shami). Her legacy also lives on in 14 grandchildren (Vanessa, Jesus, Felicia, Nikki, Andrea, Andrew, Michael, AJ, Celina, Jonathan, Elijah, Brianna, Laila, Kaila) and 3 great-grandsons (Avery, Phoenix, Aiden). Consuelo worked as a school cook at Franklin School for 23 years. In her teens, she was also a talented folklórico dancer in Mexico. Consuelo was a radiant woman – both in beauty and in heart. She was a fantastic cook, and could often be found serving delicious food (like her famous tamales) to family and friends in her kitchen. She was so generous, and always made sure everybody was fed and happy. She loved flowers, and her favorite color was red. Her laughter and her beautiful voice will be missed, but never forgotten. The viewing (5-7pm) and rosary (7-9 pm) will be held on Thursday, February 2 at Oak Hill (300 Curtner Ave. in San Jose). The church service will be held at 10am on Friday, February 3 at St. Maria Goretti (2980 Senter Rd. in San Jose).
Arrangements under the direction of Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, San Jose, CA.
