My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family. Liza was loved and cherished by so many. She was a mentor, my comforter, and often my voice of reason. I was fortunate and blessed to have her in my life through our KP family. I will find comfort in my memories of her and our many conversations. She will forever hold a place in our hearts!

Lourdeliza is one of my gradleshool and highschool batchmates in Saint Louis Baguio City! She is one of the beautiful Cayanan twins! i will never forget two conversations we had which speaks to the  connection we had as Louisians and Baguio girls. One was when her family moved to San Jose from Florida! We had a long conversation filling in the years in between our highschool graduation in 1986 up to that point when she and family moved to San Jose. Then the second one was when she called in just days before my dear mom passed away in October 2023 of cancer too.  Actually when mama was diagnosed in July 2023 , I asked Liza to include my mama in her daily prayers.  i am forever grateful to her that inspite of her own health battle, she selflessly prayed for my mama. Although i lost my mama, i know that Liza’s prayers have blessed my mama to go peacefully. 

Liza, maraming salamat for the gift of you. Our batch will miss you but we are comforted with the thought that you are now peacefully resting in God’s Kingdom. Your beautiful memories will live forever specially with your children!

Liza was not only an amazing nurse manager but an amazing person! She was so passionate about about her unit 435. She really cared about the patients and her nurses, staff. She made 435 the best unit in the hospital! She was one of the strongest people I ever known! I know she is in heaven with all the other angels. I will miss her beautiful smile and contagious laugh! I feel honored she wanted me to be her charge nurse. Say hello to my dad Liza 😇

You and Bro. Teddy have always been an epitome of great and loving servants of God. It is sad to see you go early but well done on your journey here on earth and now you are back were we all came from (dust) made into a living soul through the words of our Creator, who had given praise and glory here on earth. We will miss you and thank you for knowing you and impacting others people’s lives. Rest in peace for now until our Lord Jesus comes back to bring you back home 🙏🏻

Liza was an amazing manager at Kaiser Santa Clara. The RNs who worked with her looked up to her and were grateful for her advocacy skills, both for RNs and patients. Such a wonderful spirit. She will be greatly missed on her unit 🙏🏻

I have never pictured saying farewell forever to Liza. It hurts to say those words, and it aches to imagine never being able to see her and speak to her. My friendship began when we were in 3rd or 4th grade. It was always Debbie, Liza, and I. We were stuck like glue. We built a sisterhood that formed our paths. It was a friendship that over time has endured life challenges and tribulations. Liza and I reconnected years ago. We caught up with each other’s life 
events through Facebook. When she told me she was diagnosed with Cancer, I felt mad. Liza doesn’t deserve this, I said. I wanted to eradicate it and even take it away from her because she should be spared from this. I face cancer every day at work and so I know what cancer looks like. I know how hard the battle can get but Liza fought through. She updated me with her treatments and test results over time. Prayers flowed everywhere, and she maintained her strength by having much stronger faith. I know that she pulled out her strength from her beautiful supportive family, colleagues, friends, and schoolmates. 

Liza has always exuded strength, confidence, and charm. I say charm because she had a gift to make you feel secure, safe, and loved. I will miss you Liza and most of all the world will miss you. Rest in heavenly peace, my good friend. I love you and thank you so much for being a part of my life!
