Maureen Malnburg

Maureen Frances Malnburg, aged 86, of San Jose, California passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by those she loved, her children. Maureen was born on December 16, 1937 to loving parents Joseph Powers and Elizabeth (Faulkner) Powers. She was the last child of six children who all went before her.

Maureen is survived by her daughter Pamela Sahin and her husband Ender Sahin, daughter Janette Sgrosso and her husband Dana and son Robert Malnburg. She will also be remembered by her grandchildren Jamie Sahin, Aziza Sahin, Aileen Garcia and her husband Jesse, Anna Romero and her husband Jesse, Lindsay Sgrosso, Lee Sgrosso, Erik Sgrosso, Bryan Malnburg, Jessica Tamargo and her husband James and Bridgette Howery and her husband Michael. Maureen was blessed by great grandchildren Laeyah, Hunter, Hannah, Liliana and Isabel and will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews Stacey Powers, Scott Powers, Danny Powers, Vickie Travelstead, Colleen Fidler, Kathleen Andujar, Sue Kane, Lorie Wright, and Kathleen Butruce. Also left to mourn her is a beloved cousin Sonja Carlson and the Panda Family.

Maureen will joyfully reunite with her parents, Elizabeth and Joseph Powers, her sons George and James Malnburg and all her brothers and sisters and their spouses, our beloved father George and his dear sister Ardath, who have all gone before her.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday, April 8th, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Julie Billiart Parish, 6410 St. Julie Drive, San Jose. Burial for Maureen will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in a private ceremony.

A special thank you to the St. Julie Billiart Parish for keeping Maureen in their daily prayers, and all of the pastoral care they provided to her at her home. She will be missed tremendously.
