Classic Yacht Association - from Commodore Bernadette Sweeney

We are sad to learn of the death today of Mavis Engfer, another long time member of our Northern California fleet. Mavis and her husband Dick served the fleet as PICYA delegates for over twenty years and have been active cruisers and event participants throughout the years. We were so pleased to see them at the Change of Watch in December and I particularly recall talking with Mavis who said she was glad to be able to be there despite recent illness. Our condolences to Dick. She will be missed.

So many wonderful memories of days on Eslo and Hiltot II with Dick and Mavis, dinners at Mac's, Rusty Porthole and the Stockton Yacht Club. Breakfasts on the boats at Antioch Bridghead Marina. We will so miss Mavis and those wonderful days. Condolences to Dick and all the family. Our dogs also loved Mavis - always had treats or toys.
