I just was searching online for some of my old Chess club friends at Prospect High, when I came across your Obituary. It is such a bummer that you were taken so young. We were friends for 2 years during High School, and I have many fond memories of going to your house and playing chess (A LOT!), and me winning (NOT A LOT!), eating your Mom's homemade Vietnamese food. Though I knew you briefly, these are among the most treasured memories from my childhood. Rest in peace friend.

It was a pleasure meeting Melvin, even if it was for just 45 mins during your job interview with me last year. Put in a good word with the Lord on our behalf, my friend.
