Raymond Michael Desrosiers

January 24, 1940 – December 23, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Desrosiers, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and lifelong learner, on December 23, 2024. He passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication.

Born in Massachusetts, Raymond grew up with a passion for knowledge and a strong work ethic. After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Air Force, where he cultivated the discipline and focus that shaped his future endeavors. Following his service, Raymond pursued his education at San Jose City College, San Jose State University, and Santa Clara University, ultimately earning his Master’s degree from Stanford University—a milestone he held close to his heart.

Raymond dedicated 42 years to a distinguished career as an aerospace engineer at Lockheed Martin. His contributions to the field of aerospace reflected his exceptional intellect, problem-solving abilities, and tireless commitment to excellence. He took great pride in his work and the impact it had on advancing technology and exploration.

A man of many passions, Raymond found joy in playing the piano, studying Italian, and immersing himself in history and Bible study. His Catholic faith was a cornerstone of his life, inspiring his devotion to personal growth and his family. He was known for his kindness, intellect, and unwavering support for those he loved.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Esther, his older brother Richard and family, his children Deborah and John, his grandchildren David, Valerie, and Katie, and his five beloved great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Estelle.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital to help cure childhood cancer.

Raymond Desrosiers lived a life of dedication, faith, and love. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
