Aunt Ruthie ... I cherish such wonderful memories of growing up around all my aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was such an important part of those times. All the Ullman family is together again with a lot of laughter and card games!   Love you!  Susan

I have such fond memories of Aunt Ruthie that I'll always cherish. She made Holidays really special. It was outstanding to observe how close she was with her sisters & Grandma. She truly valued & enjoyed family; so many great memories. In my early childhood, she always seemed to be there when needs arose. Since mom didn't drive until after she popped out her 7th child, Aunt Ruth made available to us a most reliable taxi service: trips to the doctor or hospital (many of which consisted of mom procuring another baby brother or sister for us), shopping trips to the bakery or rides to 4H gatherings. I can still remember the smell and feel of the good 'ol reliable '49 Chevy with the 3-on-the-tree; she was an excellent driver and as far as I know, never missed a shift or stalled the ol' work horse. Aunt Ruth was faithful to family and seemed to be always available. I remember in my early years while growing up I came to learn that she was not one to try to cross or deceive. God only knows how many times she caught Bobbie & I red-handed doing what we knew was wrong. I wasn't quite sure exactly how she found out so quickly what we were always up to. Eventually I was able to come to grips with the fact that she really must have had eyes in the back of her head; there was no other logical way to explain it! 
I'm thankful to our Mighty and Awesome Father & Savior in heaven for her and for all the numerous wonderful childhood memories. She certainly will be missed…

Gosh what a bummer, all the sisters are now gone.  :(  Of all the sisters, my grandmother Helen not included, Ruthie I remember the most,..the memories. I remember the camping trips she would take us on. Ruthie, like all her sisters, was a wonderful lady. Geez that generation of our family seems to be gone, unless Im missing someone,...I am pretty sure Joe is still with us right??  :) Anyway, I am sitting here thinking Aunt Ruthie and all her sisters are all finally together again, playing Gin Rummy up in Heaven.  :)

I will always remember my wonderful Aunt Ruthie. All my memories of her taking Kenny, Ronnie and I with her, and having great laughs and fun. She was always there for me in so many ways. I will love you always and never forget you. You will always and forever be my loving Aunt Ruthie.

What a dedicated and loving sister aunt Ruthie was to my mom, Celeste!  Back in the 50's and 60's, my mother did not drive, so her faithful sister Ruth drove her to our Dr. appointments and trips to the Day Old Hostess Bakery. When I was a child, Aunt Ruth always had an ear available to listen and take an interest in my doings. I'll always remember Uncle Duane's warm fires and hey - what about Aunt Ruthie's delicious chocolate cakes! Who got the nickel?

Seeing her photo as I opened the guest book immediately tears to my eyes. I have so many good memories, not just as a child when our families got together, but as an adult. She,her sisters and Grandma would meet at one another's houses to play cards, and even though I wasn't a card player,I had invited them to my house on a few occasions to play and I would just sit and enjoy their company.  One time, I talked them all into bringing their bathing suits and going hot tubbing in my redwood hot tub in the Oakland hills. It was hysterical. They had a ball! Now all the sisters will be welcoming their last sibling to heaven to begin a rousing game of cards. Thank you for memories I'll always cherish.

I remember nothing but a truly kind and lovely lady. I married into Ruth's family and she always was so dear and charming to my wife Kathie White (Ruth's grandaughter), and so gracious and generous to our two girls, her Great-Grandchildren. When they were young they were always so excited to visit and play there, especially during the Holidays. I mostly remember her as being Joyous! and of course that smokey living-room, always when we visited, from that little fireplace. 
I'm sure she will give some added cheer and Luck for the Forty-Niners to win the Superbowl as she was a big fan!

My Aunt Ruthie played a significate role in my life for two reasons. First, our families were very close because she and my mom Celesta were like best friends. Aunt Ruthie was also close to her other sisters. For many years all of the Ullman sisters met faithfully every week to play cards and chitchat. Second, Aunt Ruthie was very involved in my 4-H club. I have a lot of wonderful memories of her being part of our meetings and projects, including raising sheep for the County Fair for many years. There were times she was like a second Mom to me. But my favorite memory is when I would take my little kids there and chat in the living room where it seemed time had frozen. I will always cherish the gift that God gave me and all of the people she touched - Aunt Ruthie.

To my Grandma-
I love you more than words can say.  I am going to miss you so much.  With all the memories and fun times we had you will always be with me.  May you know that I will see you again someday.
