I had the gratification of knowing you through your brother Jimmie and your nephew (my husband) Mando.I truly wish our family had MORE time to spend with you and your family throughout the years. I am Rose Breithaupt, Vincent Cardenas's daughter.  I write these words to my dad who was a special individual.  He was honest and the most giving person.  He took care of 4 children and a wife.  Every morning he would get up and go to work so he could support his family.  He lost his wife back on May 21, 1994 and was never the same after that.  Now he is in a deep sleep and feeling no paid.  I have special memories of the things my dad and me would do together.  I will always hold a place in my heart for my dad.  My heart is breaking with pain because I know that I will miss him.  He is leaving behind a daughter and a granddaughter.  Love you dad, always and forever.

Taught me by his example to persevere and never give up when challenges of of life come your way. He showed courage and strength by coming from a life of  struggle in Del Rio, Texas , fighting in WWII and being a Good Husband and father and grandfather.   Also his generous and giving spirit are qualities I want to truly attain.  Daughter
