It is important to recognize that Alan is also survived by my mother, Pina Della Casa (formerly Pina Grace). Alan was married to my mom for more than 20 years before he met Linda Kung. Alan had five Stepchildren from this marriage, Rosa, Carmen, Josie, Susy and Mario who loved Alan very much. 
We only wish that we were told in time to show our respects at his services. I remember how we would watch as he was inventing his patents which occurred while married to my mom.  
He was as much family to us as he was to Linda’s children from her former marriage. I pray he enjoys a seat next to Jesus where one day I will see my step-father again.  I love you Dad.
