She graduated from San Francisco College for Women and taught in the S.F. School District. She was principal of Frank McCoppin and Guadalupe Schools. She worked for 57 years as teacher and principal in San Francisco. She was married to Frank Manko for 68 years. He died on June 21, 2015. Both enjoyed travel, golf, and gardening.
When Marjorie became a widow in June 2015 she moved to Alma Via of San Rafael. She was given the best of care by everyone – waitresses, nurses, caregivers, and an endless number of new friends. Really and truly the entire staff!!
Marjorie’s Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am at St. Isabella’s Church Friday, July 23rd followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
