Mary Whitehead Medlin

Mary Frances Whitehead Segale Medlin Sept. 2, 1920 June 7, 2011 Mary's family is deeply saddened to announce her passing on June 7, 2011 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her parents Irene Coyne and George Whitehead and her husband Richard Medlin. Mary was born in San Francisco and worked for the Federal Government for forty years, during which time she was briefly assigned to work at the Western Whitehouse in San Clemente, CA during the Nixon administration. Soon after her retirement she moved from her beloved San Francisco to Marin to be closer to her family. Mary was the loving mother of Nancy Segale and Louis Segale, Jr., the "light of her life" granddaughter, Morgan Rose Baugh, and her first husband Louis Segale, Sr., who remained her close friend to the very end. All are residents of San Rafael. She is also survived by her favorite cousin, Milo McGowan and Milo's six children of San Diego. We are grateful and thankful for all the staff at The Golden Home who cared for Mary these last three years and also to Hospice By The Bay for their care and support for the last six months. Please join us for an informal memorial service on Monday June 13 from 4-6pm at Keaton's Mortuary, 1022 E Street, San Rafael, CA.
