Born on June 27, 1961, he was the son of Ann (Corcoran) Hamlen of Falmouth, and the late Joseph James Hamlen. He was predeceased by his sister, Maura.
He is survived by his brother Mark of Normandy, France, and cousins Ellen Smolen, Joan Mott, and Chip Hamlen.
Andrew graduated from Sandwich High School and U.Mass Amherst and had worked as a draftsman in an architectural office. He lived in Sandwich for many years, and most recently lived in Fall River, Mass.
Andy was a kind and compassionate person, who was very involved in his mother's care. He was a talented guitarist, and "jammed" with many blues bands.
A visitation with Andrew's family will be held in the Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home locates at 154 Route 6A in Sandwich from 10 to 11am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00am in the funeral home.
Burial services to be held privately.
