

East Sandwich - Mrs. Ann Marie (Bylund) McTygue, 80, of East Sandwich, beloved wife of Michael J. McTygue, passed away peacefully December 7,2025 in her home surrounded by her family after battling cancer with steadfast faith and courage. Ann was born in Worcester and raised on Bylund Ave. in Auburn, daughter of the late Raymond and Hazel (Orne) Bylund. She was a graduate of Auburn High School, class of 1963. Ann was the cherished mother of three daughters: Erin Kennedy of Fort Myers, Florida; Heather Raye (Christopher) of East Sandwich; and Caitlin Wilcox (Christopher) of Sandwich. She was the beloved “Ga” to her grandchildren: Shannon (Alex), Riley, Jake, Zach, Catie, Harrison, Noah, and the proud great-grandmother of sweet Callie. She is survived by her loving sister, Dawn Lemansky, and her husband, Richard, of Auburn; and by her brothers Raymond Bylund Jr. of Auburn; Ronnie Bylund and his wife, Kim, of Fiskdale; and Terry Bylund and his wife, Davina, of Charlton. She also leaves behind many treasured sister-and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved sister, Sheryl Brunelle.
Ann was married for sixty remarkable years to the love of her life and together they built a life grounded in devotion, joy, and unwavering commitment to one another. Mike and Annie had a love story for the ages. Some of Ann’s happiest days were the simple ones: a quiet date with Papa at Barnes & Noble, leaving with more books than shelves to hold them.Their home was always filled with the aroma of something delicious, Ga was a phenomenal cook, known for her home-cooked meals that brought her family together. She was also an avid reader, crossworder, and traveler, a talented knitter and seamstress, a golfer, and an enthusiastic beachcomber who loved shelling on Sanibel. For over twenty five years, Annie and Mike spent their winters in the sunshine of Sanibel Island, Naples, Little Gasparilla Island, and Siesta Key, creating memories that their family will forever treasure.
Ann leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, generosity, devotion, and kindness. Her genuine and sincere spirit shaped every life she touched. Ann’s family will miss her endlessly and will hold her memory close forever. May she rest in heavenly peace, wrapped in the love she gave so freely.
