Anne Agnes Maroney

Anne Maroney, of Sandwich, age 90, peacefully passed away Tuesday , August 5th 2014. She was the wife of the late John Maroney. She worked as a telephone operator in various capacities most of her life. She was a devout Catholic, and believed in the power of prayer and of being of service to others. She was everyones friend.

She is the beloved mother and mother in law of John Maroney and his wife Eileen of Wayland, Susan Chipchase of Dedham and Brian Maroney [deceased]. She also leaves her grandchildren, John Maroney Jr. and his wife Jaime of North Carolina and Joseph Maroney of Westwood and Victor Chipchase of Bourne. Great grand children are Jake and Jaxon Maroney of North Carolina, 1 sister Teresa Shomphe of Manchester by The Sea. She was also predeceased by 1 sister Stella Newis.The wake is at Nickerson- Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Rt 6A, Sandwich from 4-7 Sunday. Funeral Mass is at 11:00 am at Corpus Christi Church,324 Quaker Meeting House Rd. Sandwich. Burial to follow at MA National Cemetery at 12:45. The family welcomes guests to Annes former home at 7 Chipman road after the burial. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Dana Farber Cancer, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
