

Barbara Morse Hamilton, 84, of Sandwich passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Cape Cod Hospital. Born in Ayer, MA, the daughter of the late Raymond Hamilton and Blanche Elizabeth Morse, she resided in Sandwich for the past 18 years. As a young girl, Barbara enjoyed traveling to the Cape with her Girl Scout Troop and later made it her home.
A retired teacher, she taught at Bernards High School in Bernardsville, New Jersey for 32 years. Barbara held a B.S. from University of Vermont and two M.A. degrees (in Psychology and Education) from Montclair State University, NJ. Barbara was an avid world traveler and visited 6 of 7 continents. She loved discovering the many different cultures of the world. Oil painting was also a source of great pleasure. She was very proud of her 37 years of sobriety this December and A.A. had become a very important part of her life.
She is survived by 2 sons, William J. Fraser and his wife Gigi of Raymond, ME and Timothy M. Fraser of Chesapeake, VA; a daughter, Prof. Sarah E. Fraser of Heidelberg, Germany; and a granddaughter, Alexis Fraser. She was the former wife of the late William J. Fraser.
