Barbara Mary (Cummings) Oliver

Oliver, Barbara Mary (Cummings), 87, of Buzzards Bay formerly of Sandwich, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Barbara was born in Boston to Charles J. and Mary (Eyskens) Cummings. She graduated from St. Francis Elementary School in Roslindale. She continued on to graduate from Mt. St. Joseph Academy in Brighton, class of 1952. Barbara happily married Joseph Randall Oliver, September 10, 1955 and were together for over 50 years. Soon after brought up four lovely children: Brian Joseph Oliver, Philip John Oliver (and Malinda Oliver), Valerie Marie Orcutt (Oliver), and Maureen Barbara Dupuis (Oliver) (and husband Gregory Dupuis). She also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren.

She loved being a homemaker, gardening, cooking for her family, playing cards, dancing, and was an avid reader.

A funeral mass in her honor will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Rd., Sandwich, MA. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA at 1:30 PM.
