Brian Douglas Lemée was born on December 10, 1952 at St. Luke's Hospital in Middleboro, MA. He passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Royal Cape Cod Rehabilitation Center in Buzzards Bay. He was in Tufts Medical Center in Boston prior to his passing. He had many medical issues over his life, but never gave up.
A kidney transplant 6 years ago on Valentine's Day, open heart surgery last December and had very bad diabetes and other medical issues.
He was diagnosed a few months ago with Basil Cell skin cancer on his head from his kidney transplant medications. After many months of skin grafts and medicines and bandages and severe pain it finally traveled to his brain. But he never gave up. Through all his health problems he still did taxes and other accounting projects for clients, family and friends. He was a certified Public Accountant with a Master’s Degree in Taxation. In the 70’s he graduated from Bentley College with straight A's in taxation. Currently, he was a member of the Bourne Financial Committee and the Town Sewer Committee in Bourne.
He was a nature photographer and recanvased "old town" canoes. He loved going out in his canoe when he could. He belonged to the Cranberry Carver Camera Club for several years where he received a few ribbons. He also was a member of the Investments in Hyannis where he did and maintained the Web site. Brian was a skilled builder and fix it guy. He could repair anything.
Brian loved his family he was a great uncle, brother and husband. Brian was a people person the more friends the better. He also loved Cape Cod and like to walk especially at Monks Park up and down the many paths. He also like walking along the canal from one bridge to the other despite his no toes on one foot due to diabetes.
He also was a part-time clown his name was Onion. He belonged to the South Shore Joeys in Hanson and Clowns of America International. He also went to the Northeast Clown Institute in Plymouth every January for few years. Just recently he and his wife Janet who's clown name is Twinkles received a first place award for doing a skit. In 2018 Onion/Brian received his craftsman award at the Northeast Clown Institute. The N.C.I. is a Shriner event that every year money is raised for the Shriner Hospital for Children in Boston. We were proud to be part of that. Brian was a natural clown or out of costume. He had a great sense of humor. He was married to his wife Janet for 42 years and had many fun times together. Fun and Adventure Every day in God’s name Amen was there wedding vows.
Brian was a talented creative, smart and a very fun person who never complained with all of his terrible health problems. He will be missed by all. We love you Brian and wish you peace.
He is survived by his wife Janet E. Lemée, a sister Susan J. Lemée and her companion Mr. Lindsey Harris of Hanson, MA; three nieces, Kelly J. Milne and her husband Mike of East Bridgewater, MA Kristine Lemée Vidal and her husband Andrew of East Bridgewater, MA and Kerry Stuart and her husband Kevin of Bridgewater and a nephew, David R. Lemeé of Plymouth, MA; great nieces and nephews, Emily, Matthew, Kaylee, Annabelle, Vinny and Juliet.
His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019 at the First Church of Sandwich. Visitation Sunday, June 2, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA. Flowers or balloons are welcomed or donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Kidney Transplant Foundation or American Diabetes Foundation.
