

Eleanor (Maloney) Gould, 84, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, MA. She was born on December 23, 1932 in Waltham, MA to Thomas and Sarah (Doyle) Maloney. Eleanor grew up in Watertown, MA and graduated from St. Patrick’s High School, where she was varsity cheerleader. In 1952, she was married to Glenn Alfred Gould, and the couple raised six children in Feeding Hills, MA. Eleanor and Glenn were married for 64 years until Glenn’s death on September 5, 2016.
While Eleanor spent many years raising her six children, she always found time to enjoy her love of gardening, reading suspense novels, and teasing out solutions to countless cross word puzzles. For several years, she enjoyed the sunshine and warmth of Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Eleanor worked as an administrative assistant in the towns of Agawam, Bourne and Sandwich, MA.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her Husband, Glenn, and her daughter, Karen Louise Gould. She is survived by her children, Glenn Thomas of Fort Myers, FL., Stephen Francis of Feeding Hills, MA, Kevin Richard of Westfield, MA, Robert Allen of Horseheads, New York and Patricia Ann of Agawam, MA. She was so proud of all of her 8 beloved grandchildren. Her siblings include the predeceased Thomas Maloney and Carol Dowd. She is survived by her sisters Mary Casella, and Cathy Bryden and a brother John Maloney.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA. Visitation prior to service 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial at Sandwich Town Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind 611 Granite Springs Road Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
