Jean-Claude (John) Mandeix died at his home in Sandwich on March 2, 2013 with his family around him at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife, Alice Denise Benjamin; his children, Rachel Mandeix and David Mandeix, both of Boston MA; his brother, Jean-Jacques Schiffrine of Cape Coral, Florida; and his mother, Marie Vareille of Paris, France; as well as many nieces and nephews and their children.
Born in Limoges France, he was the son of the late Leonard Francois Mandeix and Marie Vareille. He came to the United States in 1969. He enjoyed sailing, painting, gardening, and cooking for family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held from 3 pm until the time of the memorial service at 6pm on Friday, March 8, 2013 in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A in Sandwich.
