

Leo was born March 6, 1936 in Ludlow, the son of Leo Dominic Sr. and Sarah (Clyne) Diotalevi.
On September 8, 1956, Leo was united in marriage to Irene Midura in Indian Orchard, MA, and has been a resident of Sagamore Beach for 47 years coming from Wilbraham. He worked for Western Massachusetts Electric in Springfield, Holyoke Power and Light in Holyoke, and retired as Chief Engineer from Canal Electirc in Sandwich.
Leo served our country in the Korean Conflict from 1954 to 1956 when he was honorably discharged. He loved golfing and was a lifetime member at Sandwich Hollow. Leo enjoyed reading, walking the canal and was a coach for the Bourne Babe Ruth League Baseball program for 20 years. His special love was for his grandchildren and the trips he would take them on to Disney World.
He was a past member of the Bourne Lions Club and was a 4th Degree Knight with the Springfield Knights of Columbus.
Preceding Leo in death were his parents.
Those family members left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 58 wonderful years, Irene of their home in Sagamore Beach. Children; Mary Ellen (Stephen) Strout of Plymouth, Leo (Donna) Diotalevi of Tampa, FL, Theresa Diotalevi of Sagamore Beach, Jack Diotalevi of Phoenix, AZ, and Brian (Michelle) Diotalevi of Ludlow. Surviving grandchildren are Brittany Diotalevi, Dominic (Michelle) Diotalevi, Brett Diotalevi, Zachary Diotalevi, and Tyler Diotalevi. Also surviving are his siblings James (Patty) Diotalevi of Wilbraham, Mary (Gene) Ryczek and Margaret Thompson, both of Longmeadow. He is also survived my loving nieces, nephews and many special friends.
A memorial mass will be said at Corpus Christi Parish on Monday October 20, at 11:00 AM. Father Rodney Thibeault, presider. Arrangements under the direction of Nickerson~Bourne Funeral Home, Sandwich, MA.
