Linda A. Hickey

Linda was the daughter of the late Harry and Salme Atwood of West Barnstable. Linda was a graduate of Barnstable High School.

Linda shared a beautiful 42-year marriage with her beloved husband, Tom. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories-many of them made while traveling side by side.

Linda is survived by her son Brett Hickey and his wife Nicole of Forestdale. Her grandchildren: Alyssa, Brett Jr, and Jesse and her great grandson Krue Thomas. She also leaves behind her sister Gail, nephews Bill and Jon, along with many friends. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Linda began her administrative career at Cape Cod Bank and Trust, where she formed lifelong friendships. She continued her work in administration, ultimately retiring from the Mashpee Fire Department, a role she took great pride in.

Linda worked hard her entire life and enjoyed her careers. She liked to spend time and travel with her family. Linda enjoyed baking, playing cards with her friends, listening to live music and dancing the night away.

We will miss Linda’s feisty spirit and “wicked” ways.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you remember Linda in your own way-through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or time spent with those you love.

Visiting hours for Linda will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich, MA 02563. Burial is private.
