Pamela Ann Morse, 47, of Bourne passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on November 21, 2017 after battling a long illness. She was born on July 24, 1970 in Easton, MA to John and Carol (Bolster) Gay.
Pam (as her friends and family called her), grew up in Sagamore and graduated from Bourne High School in 1988. After graduation she went to work for the family business, Johns Capeside Diner, eventually taking over the operation and management of the diner in 2003. When she wasn’t busy serving up the best homefries in town, Pam was a very busy mother and stepmother of six children whom she loved with all her heart. Her son Christopher, daughter Samantha, and her stepchildren Chrissy, Nicky, Richard Morse Jr. and Jason Morse, were the light of her life.
Pam was a proud mother, stepmother and grandmother who enjoyed beach days, camping and fishing on the shores of Cape Cod. Her excellent eye for decorating was enjoyed by many, and she loved painting and gardening. In her younger years she was an avid roller skater and competed in many competitions. Anyone who knows Pam knows how much happiness it brought her to share stories of her children and most recently of her new granddaughter, Harlow, who she couldn’t get enough of. Her laugh was always funnier than the joke and she had a smile that could light up any room.
One of her proudest moments was undeniably when her son Christopher joined the United States Marine Corps. She was always a proud Marine mom, even one year attending the Marine Corps ball as his date for the evening. In recent years, she was so proud of her daughter Samantha for growing into such an independent young woman who undoubtedly inherited her mom’s hardworking trait.
Pam is survived by her children, son Christopher Morse, his wife Jennifer and their beautiful daughter Harlow of Worcester, her daughter Samantha Morse of Sagamore, Father and Mother John and Carol (Bolster) Gay of Pocasset, Sisters Dorleen Gay of Marion, Linda Blair and husband William of Fairfax, VT, brother John Gay III and his partner Debbie Collamore of Sagamore, her very special Aunt Debbie and Uncle Gary McCollom of Easton, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
