Stephen R. Jumper

JUMPER, Stephen R., 63, of Forestdale, MA, fought a long six year battle with cancer, and passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 with his loving wife Donna by his side. He was born to the late Arthur P. and Rosemary Jumper (Mussina) in Teaneck, NJ on September 16, 1959.

Stephen grew up in Washington Township, NJ, where he graduated from Westwood High School and then from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Stephen was an avid skier and loved the outdoors. He loved hiking, especially the 4,000 footers, enjoyed camping, was active in Boy Scout Troop 47, and mentored numerous Eagle Scouts. He also took great satisfaction in working in his yard. He had a career in the banking field for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Harrison Jumper, to whom he shared 37 years in marriage, his twin sons, Peter and Kevin Jumper of Forestdale, and his sister, Susan Summersby (Jumper) and her husband, David, of Melrose. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Catherine Harrison (Taylor) of Bourne, sister-in-law, Karen Doble (Harrison) and her husband John of Bourne, and brother-in-law, Steven Harrison and his wife Annmarie (Wallace) of Saugus. Additionally, two nieces and two nephews, Emily and Jack Summersby, Laurianne Young (Doble) and her husband, Stephen, of West Barnstable, and Brian Doble and his wife, Nicole (Wood), of Bourne survive him. Steven is also survived by his great-nieces: Evelyn, Claire, Anna, and Jillian Doble, and Hadley, Taylor, and Whitney Young.

He is predeceased by his father-in-law Donald A. Harrison.

A Funeral Service will take place Friday, May 19th at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA at 12:30pm. Visitation is prior from 10:30-12:30pm.
