He was born Steven Michael Riquelme on May 2, 1982 in Hayward, CA, the son of Desiderio and Carol (Stevenson) Riquelme. Raised in Newark, CA, he graduated with the class of 2000 from Newark Memorial High School. His passions in school were theater and show choir and was blessed to have had his sister, Melinda as his choir teacher for all four years.
He moved to Massachusetts in 2011 with his loving mother, Carol. He has been a supervisor at BJ’s in Hyannis the past four years where he had many friends. Many knew and loved Steve for his quick sense of humor and great sarcasm. He had a passion for playing videos games; he had dreamed to create video games, and went to study that in college after high school, but the life journey took him into a different path. Steven also enjoyed going to the movies, and especially Spiderman. Steven had a love/ hate relationship with the outdoors. He came to love camping, bike riding, and snowboarding. Steven, in the last few years, also developed a love for traveling and spent time in Vegas, Paraguay, Japan, and New York City often. Steven always welcomed his friends and family with a huge hug and a warm sincere hello. Steven will be remembered for many beautiful qualities, but most for his youthful innocence and loving heart.
