

Mrs. Harrison was born in Forsyth, Georgia, daughter of the late John T. Stephens and Florrie Mae Summerford. She was the widow of Harry W. Ball of Atlanta, Georgia and Albert E. Harrison of Ellijay, Georgia.
Mrs. Harrison graduated from Mary Persons High School, where she was voted Miss Mary Persons High and was the first female President of the Georgia Beta Club. She graduated from Bessie Tift College, Magna Cum Laude with highest honors. Mrs. Harrison was a member of Wieuca Road Baptist Church, helping create their Sunday School and preschool programs, serving in their choir, and the WMU Organization. She worked outside the home for Nelson Realty Company and Ackerman Realtors.
Mrs. Harrison is survived by her children: Lisa King, of Atlanta, Georgia; Steve Ball, of Prescott, Arizona; Scott Ball, of Tallahassee, Florida; and Sally Allison, of Marietta, Georgia. She leaves behind her daughter in law, Lesley Ball, and two sons in law, Larry King and Drew Allison. Mrs. Harrison also leaves behind her step children, Marianne Bowman, John Harrison, and Doug Harrison of Ellijay. Her grandchildren, Blair Gulley of Waco, Texas; Emily Williams of Chicago, Illinois; Adam, Eric, and Kevin Ball of Tallahassee, Florida; Zachary and Sam Allison of Marietta, Georgia; join their cousins Gabe and Jon Harrison of Ellijay, Georgia, along with Candace and Bert Harrison, Harrison Owenby, and Hannah, John, Moses, Mary, Esther, Lydia, and Devorah Bowman in mourning this great lady. Her remaining family includes her great grandchildren, Annalea, Jackson, Mary Kate and Mackenzie Gulley of Waco, Texas, and Campbell, Sutton, and Liam Williams of Chicago, Illinois.
Mrs. Harrison was the last survivor of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her two sisters.
She loved her family fiercely and was greatly loved. Though we will miss her terribly, we know she’s at peace with God.
A graveside service to celebrate Mrs. Harrison's life will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mount Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA., section F.
