Charlotte Ann Wulz was born and raised as Charlotte Ann Jackson in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin by two loving parents in a family of four sisters and one brother. She was the daughter of Ernest and Frances (nee Machia) Jackson, had sisters Jeanette, Katherine, Rita, Collette and a brother Robert.
Charlotte was referred to as Susie by many who knew her because her older sisters always wanted a younger sister of that name. After high school, Charlotte attended the Wisconsin State Teachers College in Milwaukee where she met her future husband, Allan. They were married soon after and started building a family with a few geographical moves related to Allan’s military service along the way. Later, they settled in Shorewood, Wisconsin where she and Allan raised a family and Charlotte decided to finish her undergraduate degree and earned a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Charlotte started her working career teaching grade school and later she specialized as a reading teacher and director for a local Milwaukee school district.
Charlotte never met a stranger and was loved by all who crossed paths with her. She was the most wonderful and consistently loving mother any child could ever ask for! She loved life, but beyond her children, she had a special passion for painting—an art at which she excelled—along with traveling and playing golf. Charlotte and Allan retired to Georgia at a relatively young age and traveled the world, enjoyed friends and family. Charlotte also made a hole in one on a 151 yard par 3 hole.
Charlotte’s husband Allan passed away just four months shy of their 60th wedding anniversary in 2014. Charlotte is survived by her children including sons Bryan (Nancy) Wulz and Doug (Amy) Wulz, along with daughters Pamela and Donna. She is also survived by Bryan’s children Marla and Joshua (Avital) Wulz and Doug’s son Matthew Wulz. She has two great grandchildren, Ezekiel and Hadassah. Charlotte will be missed by all who knew her, but never forgotten!
