Darrel G. Knicely, 81, of Sandy Springs, went to be with his Maker December 10, 2017. Mr. Knicely was an honest man of character who loved God, his family and friends. Darrel was a golf pro for over 25 years and retired from Dunwoody Country Club. He was also a member of the PGA where he was a past president. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Leslie Knicely; children, Julie Fike, Val Erndt (Walt), Ken Knicely, Jeanne Murphy (Chris); 10 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; brother, Neil Knicely (Isobel); sister, Marilyn Morris; and his beloved Abby. Visitation will begin at 10:30a.m. with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
