David Brochstein

David Wine Brochstein, 89, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away at Emory Midtown Hospital peacefully in his sleep on January 16, 2017. David was happily married for more than fifty years to the late Barbara S. Brochstein. He is survived by his children Michael, Robert and Brenda, all of Atlanta, Georgia, and four grandchildren. Born in Houston, Texas, David was a proud graduate of Rice University who took great pride in Rice’s national championship in college baseball. David moved himself and his family to Atlanta in 1960, where he resided the rest of his life. A chemical engineer, he worked for what eventually became USS AgriChemicals after college until his retirement. A family man in the truest sense of the word, David was a devoted husband, supportive and loving father and doting grandfather. A quiet man, he will be missed as much for his dry sense of humor as for being the kind of man whom everyone could rely upon when he was needed. His funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 1:00 pm at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
