

Dorothy Ann MacLeod Diehl, 79, of Dunwoody, much loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and blessing of so many passed away September 7, 2012. There are no words to express the loss of this great woman. Dot Diehl was born in Detroit, MI and raised in New Albany, IN. She dedicated her life to nurturing others, most especially her family and friends. Dot was one of the founding members of All Saints Catholic Church, and was as an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She also worked at the church coordinating events and administration. During her time working at the church, she offered unconditional support and kindness to many. She will be deeply missed. Survivors include daughters Diane Diehl Mikle (Tom), Susan Diehl and Ellen Diehl, three grandchildren, Daniel, Laura, and Katelyn Mikle; Siblings John MacLeod and Margaret Burke, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ann and Daniel MacLeod, and her much loved husband Joseph Matthew Diehl. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, September 10th at one o’clock at All Saints Catholic Church, 2443 Mt Vernon RD, Dunwoody, GA, with the Father Daniel Rogazewski as the celebrant. Inurnment will be private. In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the All Saints St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
