Durand Williams Jones, 77, a native Atlantan died on Monday, the 28th of December, 2015. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, E. Sam Jones, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea Jones Ferris and Dru E. Ferris; granddaughters, Julie Danielle Ferris, Christen Taylor Ferris, Robin Durand Ferris; and nieces and nephews. Durand will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and follower of Jesus Christ. She was an active member of The Church of The Apostles and a generous benefactor to Leading The Way Ministries. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, the 4th of January, 2016 at eleven o’clock in the morning in the Chapel of The Church of The Apostles with Dr. Michael Youssef officiating. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Monday from ten o’clock until the hour of service at the church and at a reception following the funeral service at the church. A private interment will take place at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leading The Way Ministries.
