Born in Chicago on May 30, 1940, to Mary and Joseph Simal, Edward later made Atlanta his home. There, he founded Ed Simal & Associates, a chemical distribution company that reflected his drive, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Edward will be remembered for his generosity, his dry and unmistakable sense of humor, and his lifelong love of art. These qualities shaped his relationships and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his sister, Lillian M. Moore; his nephews, Eugene Kazan, Francis J. Simal, Jr., and Christopher E. Simal; their spouses and significant others; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Joseph Simal, and his brother, Francis J. Simal.
Inurnment will take place in the columbarium at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
