A dedicated member of the family restaurant and real estate businesses, Fred poured his heart into his work. His love for zydeco dancing, the Atlanta Blues Society, and volunteering at Road Atlanta brought joy to those around him. Known for his fierce loyalty to family and friends, Fred was a beloved figure, one of the last of his generation, whose warmth and enthusiasm left a lasting mark.
Fred is survived by his nephews, David Weinberg and Brian Weinberg, and niece, Melanie Weinberg. He was preceded in death by his parents Sam Weinberg and Jean Weinberg, and brother Robert Weinberg.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mount Vernon Hwy.,Sandy Springs, G A 30328. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association, a cause close to Fred’s heart.
