

Born on May 6, 1940, in Moline, Illinois, Gary was the son of Harry Elias and Frances Capek Elias. He graduated from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa, in 1962.
Gary began his professional career as a pharmaceutical representative with Abbott Laboratories in Chicago. His passion for golf later led him to caddie for professional golfer Gary McCord on the Senior Tour, and he ultimately enjoyed a successful career as Eastern Regional Sales Manager for ProCraft Custom Golf Shops.
A long-time member of the Atlanta Country Club, Gary’s love of golf was central to his life. He traveled widely to play the game he loved, experiencing courses around the world and forming lasting friendships along the way.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother Wayne Elias and sister-in-law Georgiana Elias; nephew Matthew Elias, his wife Jennifer, and their children Kennedy and Jackson Elias; his longtime companion Lee Thompson; and his beloved dog, Ginger.
Gary will be remembered for his zest for life, his dedication to the game of golf, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
