

Born on June 7, 1917, George Nichols Spring, the son of George Spring Sr. and Susan Ethel Langford, passed from this life on January 14, 2013 at the age of 95. He lived a long and blessed life. Mr. Spring served his country during WWII as a Captain in the U.S. Navy. Upon his return to the states he married Annabelle Roberts, his beloved wife of 65 years. George Spring provided for his family in many ways throughout his lifetime. He was a chemical engineer by profession. In addition to his wife, Mr. Spring was preceded in death by his grandson, Martin Langford McKay. He is survived by his children, Anne Roberts Spring, Susan Spring McKay, Donna Spring Miller, George Nichols Spring, III, William Henry Spring; grandchildren, Rachael Elizabeth Cail, Matthew Jacob Cail, Sara Spring Zincone, Mary Rebekah Pearson, Gorden Randall McKay, Dutton Maxwell Miller, Jr., Richard Grant Miller, Margaret Miller Montague, Jonathan Nichols Miller; and great grandchildren, Isaac Samuel Cail, Gioia Ann Zincone, DiMaggio James Zincone, Marcello Thomas Zincone, Madelynne Spring McKay, Mallery Sandra McKay, Ella Lee Miller, Olivia Spring Miller, Dutton Maxwell Miller, III, Ethan Clark Montague. Funeral services will be at 2 o’clock with visitation from 1 to 2 o’clock on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the chapel of Northside United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Methodist Children’s Home, 500 South Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30030. A righteous man with a life well-lived, George Spring was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed.
