Jerry was born in Brooklyn, NY and attended Erasmus Hall High school where he excelled on the baseball and basketball teams. In his Brooklyn neighborhood, he met the love of his life, Audrey, married in 1964, and enjoyed a successful career in sales. Throughout his life he was a devoted father and husband who enjoyed sports, trivia, travel and music. He was known for his great sense of humor, his dedication to family, and his outgoing personality. Jerry is deeply loved by family and friends and will be missed by all.
Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Freeman and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Audrey Piansky; son, Michael Piansky and his wife, Wendy Book; Jonathan Piansky and his wife, Michelle; and grandchildren, Carson, Ryan and Melanie Piansky. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Partnership for Eosinophilic Disorders, www.apfed.org or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, www.nationalmssociety.org. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 14th at 3 pm at Sandy Springs Place, Assisted Living, 1260 Hightower Trail, Sandy Springs, GA 30350.
