John Edward Gross, 53, of Marietta, died March 24, 2017. An avid outdoorsman, John loved fishing, water sports, snow skiing and playing golf, and was a member of The Cherokee Town and Country Club. Above everything else, John loved his family and friends who will dearly miss him. He was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Willingham, and is survived by his sons, Tyler and Logan Gross; parents, Carl and Ann Gross; brothers, Carl Gross, Jr., Mike Gross, Rob Gross; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11 o’clock with the family receiving friends beginning at 10 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Flowers will be appreciated or those wishing to may make contributions to Lung Cancer Alliance or the charity of their choice.
