Kenneth L. Schellie

Kenneth L. Schellie, 73, of Marietta, died October 23, 2015. Mr. Schellie was retired from UPS after more than 35 years with the company. He was also a long-time member of Atlanta Country Club. He was an avid golfer and in his later years he enjoyed watching golf and other sports, meeting with friends and watching sports at his favorite place, McKendrick’s, and staying on top of current events. Mr. Schellie also genuinely enjoyed his time with family and friends in northern Wisconsin, at Phelps in Vilas County, which is a decades-long family vacation location, where he fished, boated and visited friends and relatives. Mr. Schellie is survived by his beloved Anita Costley; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Renee Schellie; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bryan Olin; grandson, Jackson Olin; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Terry Wien; brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Anne Schellie; nieces, Laurie Wien, Linda Yturralde, Kate Schellie; nephew, David Schellie; and former wife, Deborah Schellie. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane (Schafstall) Schellie, with whom he had his son and daughter. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2015, and will have a brief remembrance of his life at 3:30 p.m. at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
