Born in Atlanta, Kerri was the beloved daughter of Olin and Nancy Bonner. A proud graduate of Southwest DeKalb High School, she was the first in her family to attend college. She pursued her education at both the University of Georgia and Georgia State University.
Kerri dedicated over 40 years to the communications industry, beginning her career at Scientific Atlanta, which later became part of Viasat. Through determination and hard work, she rose from a temporary employee to a respected project manager. Her career was marked by professionalism, perseverance, and a lasting impact on those around her.
Kerri will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She brought light into the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of generosity and grace.
She was preceded in death by her father, Olin Bonner. She is survived by her devoted husband of 20 years, James Nagy; her son, Kade Hankins (Carly); her mother, Nancy Bonner; sisters, Janet Papineau (Richard) and Sharon Harmon; niece, Kelsey Moss; nephews, John Papineau, Cory Harmon and Destin Murphy.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10:30 AM at H.M. Patterson & Son – Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd. NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. A reception with the family will be held immediately after the burial at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers, Wounded Warriors or Samaritan’s purse.
