Kevin Ronald Woods, 59 of Dunwoody, peacefully passed away on May 9, 2022, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Kevin was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and was raised in upstate New York. He moved to Atlanta in his early twenties and joined Saint Jude Catholic Church where he met the love of his life, Kathleen. Together, in the Saint Jude community, they made life-long friends and raised their four children.
Kevin was a Senior Wealth Manager with Gratus Capital where he was known for his compassion for clients, for his calming demeanor, and as a friend and mentor to many.
To know Kevin was to love him. He had a gentle spirit and fun-loving personality. As a father, he did not sweat the small stuff, but taught his children valuable life lessons that have led them to meaningful and happy lives. He led several mission trips through his church, sat on the board of Camp Twin Lakes and enjoyed serving others. Kevin was all about family, from the youngest niece and nephew to each and every In-law, and the multitude of neighbors and friends he welcomed into his heart. We are all grateful for our time with Kevin and know his life lessons and spirit will inspire us always.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Woods. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kathleen Woods; their children, Patrick Woods, Mary Kate Woods, Jack Woods (Kacie), and Bridget Woods; his father, Ronald Woods(Carolyn) and his sisters, Rhonda Schott (Lewis), Kim Baker, and Kathy Bayley (Chris). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, Saint Jude Chapter or Camp Twin Lakes. The family will receive friends Monday, May 16, 2022, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:15 p.m. at H.M Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 705 Spalding Dr., Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
