Margaret F. NeSmith

Margaret “Honey” Finley NeSmith of Sandy Springs, died October 2, 2016. Mrs. NeSmith was born in Waycross, GA on August 16, 1930 and was the daughter of the late William Emmett Finley and Ruby Lanier Finley. Prior to moving to Atlanta in 1953 she worked as a bookkeeper in Waycross where she met and married her husband, Donald Wells NeSmith. In addition to her parents and husband, Honey was preceded in death by her son, Donald Wells NeSmith, Jr.; brother, Bert Finley; sister, Billie Dale McIntosh; and nephew, Jimmy McIntosh. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Ellyson; sons, David NeSmith, Richard NeSmith; grandchildren, Derek Ellyson (Beth), Laura Ellyson Feltman (Justin), Taylor NeSmith, Jesse NeSmith; great grandchildren, Brooke Ellyson, Sean Ellyson, Landen Feltman, Tyler Feltman; nephews, Mickey McIntosh (Donna) and Bill McIntosh. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wieuca Road Baptist Church, 3626 Peachtree Rd., NE, Atlanta, GA 30326. A memorial service will be Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 2 o’clock with the family receiving friends beginning at 1 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Interment will be Monday October 10, 2016 at 11 o’clock at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
