Mary M. Vassar Barnett

Mary M. Vassar Barnett, 85, died November 10, 2012 at Embracing Hospice in Cumming, Georgia, after a long battle with diabetes. She is survived by her children Rev. Judith Maxine Barnett; Amanda Lynn Barnett and her husband Jim Ribble; Tim Barnett, Sr. and his wife Kristin; Frank Barnett and his wife Mary Jo; her grandsons Scott Bragg and his wife Wendi; Brian Bragg, Tim Barnett, Jr., Beau Barnett, Sr., Caleb Barnett and Jackson Barnett, by her granddaughters Kacee Barnett, Madison Barnett, and Caleigh Barnett, and by her great-grandsons Galen Bragg and Beau Barnett, Jr. Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband Jackson Barnett, her sons Tommy and Danny, her parents Amanda and Frank Vassar, her sister Lois Craig and her brother William Frank Vassar. The family will hold a public viewing from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 13 at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Mrs. Barnett’s funeral will be held in Arlington Chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 14. She will be buried in the Garden of Prayer at Cherokee Memorial Park in Canton, Georgia. Flowers are welcome, especially red roses. Mrs. Barnett was an animal lover and donations in her name to your favorite animal charity also are welcomed.
