Mary Roberts Bradley

Born on April 30, 1931, to William Nolan Roberts and Willie Atchley Roberts in Louisville, Kentucky.

She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Registered Nurse degree, aspiring to become a nurse and pursue her dreams.

She started her nursing career at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. It is there she met the love of her life, her late husband Robert George Bradley.

When her children were grown, Mary decided it was time to continue a career that brought her much joy. She chose to go back to nursing at Northside Hospital. For 20 years, she worked with the newborns and premature babies that she adored.

Mary loved to fish, many times catching more than her male counterparts. She was known as a card shark at bridge table and was often found with close friends playing the card game on a weekly basis.

Married for 66 years, she loved her family and is survived by her two sons, Scott A. Bradley and Mark S. Bradley; daughter-in-law, Kathie A. Bradley; Grandchildren, Ryan C. Bradley, Catherine H. Bradley, and Pryce S. Bradley; Great Grandchildren Maximillien R. King, Jr., Cameron B. Teixeira, Blair M. Bradley, and Colin C. Bradley. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob), and grandson, Hunter Bradley.

Mary will be remembered as a loving wife and mother. Her kindness and charity to others was unwavering and her smile brought sunshine to many.

Friends and family are invited to H.M. Patterson & Son – Arlington Chapel on June 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM for family visitation, 11:00 AM for the Celebration of Life Service and to the reception following the service.
