Nancy A. Smith

Nancy A. Smith of Atlanta died Saturday, the 20th of April 2013. A native of Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Dr. O. Preston Allen and Helen Price Allen. She received her Bachelor’s in Sociology from Brenau University and was a longtime active member of The Cathedral of St. Philip. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Allen P. Smith and Dr. Nancy L. Smith, A. Todd Smith, Sr. and Melina B. Smith; and her grandchildren, Samuel Preston Smith, Andrew Todd Smith, Jr., and Natalyn Rose Smith. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, the 24th of April at eleven o’clock at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel with The Reverend Cannon Todd Smelser officiating. Entombment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family would like to express deep gratitude and much thanks to Nancy’s caregivers, Shaneka Sanders and Mary Gray.
