Pam and I were best friends in high school, but like so many people we lost touch.  She was my maid of honor in my wedding over 45 years ago. I had been searching for her for some time and sadly I was lead to this site. My deepest sympathy goes out to her children. Your mom was a great person, but I am sure you already know that. I have such wonderful memories of us in her Ford Mustang. She really loved that car.I have so many wonderful memories, and am so glad she was part of my life.

    Pam and I started with Grainger as Account Relationship Managers (ARMs) in Alpharetta, Georgia.  She started in 2005 and I in 2006.  We would speak there but because of the teams we were on didn't have that much contact.  

     The last of September 2007, Missi West started with Grainger in what was known as the Norcross Service Center.  A few days later in October of 2007 I started and in November of 2007 Pam was in the Norcross Service Center.

    We hung together through our training with sharing and laughter that only three "newbies" could understand.  We took turns helping and encouraging each other during that time and those are wonderful memories!!!

    Beyond our training we continued our friendship by helping and encouraging each other with things about work and things about our personal lives.

    As I have read some of the postings they have triggered other wonderful memories of Pam that cause me to laugh about and smile.  I will miss you my friend!!!

    Thank you Pam for your gift of friendship to me!!!  What a wonderful gift!! I was truly blessed by God giving me a friend like as you!!! Thank you.

As one of Pam's many co-workers, I didn't know her well but I do know she always had a kind smile and a kind word.  She seemed a gentle person and I will miss her presence.

I never thought I would have to sit here and write a message like this.  There are not words to express the pain all of us are feeling.  I will never forget the day I met your Mom...she was so excited to see she was getting neighbors and they had kids too.  We bonded immediately when I took refuge at your kitchen table to escape Lois.  We always had fun doing mundane things....mowing the lawn at the same time to corral 4 young kids....or trying to catch a mouse running through your family room. When you packed up and headed to Houston I figured that was the end....sure people keep in touch, but not the way it had been. Well, your Mom proved me wrong.  She never stopped calling and it was as if we were never apart.  Her friendship ran deeper than I ever believed possible.  So, when we got transferred to Atlanta, you can imagine my delight to know we could once again live close enough to actually do things together.  It is so hard to believe that just two weeks ago we went out to breakfast or that in 5 days she would have been here for Thanksgiving.  She loved you both as that was her #1 calling in life...to be a good Mommy!! She was the first to say it and always lived it, her kids were her all.  We will all miss you PAM!!

When we moved to Naperville, IL in 1986 we moved into a new house in the middle of empty corn fields. There were a couple of houses around, also that had just been built, one right behind us. The yards were a sea of mud and mess and there was not much chance to get outside, as it was winter. One day though there was a knock on the door and there stood Pam to introduce herself and tell us she was our neighbor behind us. Over the years we shared a back yard, kids, and lives. Our kids were together every day and Karen and Pam spent many hours in the yard talking while the swings were swinging or the sand in the sand box was being built into cities only children can dream up. 
Then, the day came as it always does in Naperville, Pam moved away. She stayed in touch with Karen and we saw her occasionally. She moved to Texas then New England, then Atlanta. We moved to DC, back to Chicago and then, suddenly.... Atlanta... who would have ever thought? 
That gave us a chance to have Pam back in our lives on a more routine basis and she and Karen were able to meet for lunch or breakfast regularly living in the same area. What a blessing to have that time with her. In addition, Pam was able to come for Holiday's and spend time with our family since we lived locally.
I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason... and we really struggled with why we were moving to Atlanta, what could be the possible reason for taking us from a home we loved, and a job that Karen loved to move here? After we came here we came to realize that Pam may have been a large part of the reason. Karen was able to spend time with her and continue their friendship, and support her in some times when she truly needed support. There truly is a reason for everything.
We will miss Pam, her corn bread stuffing and her always "fixin" to do something. We loved you Pam, thanks for being a part of our lives.
