When Phil was a senior at Northside, he was in a couple of my classes [Mechanical Drawing, Physics] and was always a kind, thoughtful fellow. Think I remember that he had a leg injury from scrambling in the 'fumble pit' his senior year, that interfered with the season, since he was such an outstanding player on Coach Creel's team [recall he played guard]. Don't know what made me think of him at this late date, but want to pass on that he still has an impression on me of favorable brotherly kindness lo these nearly 55 years later! 

I will always treasure my happy memories of uncle Phil!  He always made me laugh and treated me with kindness.  May he rest in Peace and enjoy being reunited with dad!  Love to all the family-

Yetty and I are so sorry we missed the funeral.  We were out of town and did not see the announcement in the Saturday paper for the graveside service.  Please forgive our absence and know that we were with you in spirit.

Phil was a big part of my "coming of age" stage of life and I have such fond memories of all those experiences.
