Rosanna was an amazing wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who will be remembered for her kind heart and boundless love for her family.
Born August 2, 1961 in College Park, Maryland, Rosanna was the daughter of Arthur Clem Ellis and Yurdanur Akovali. She grew up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and later attended the University of Tennessee – Go Big Orange! - where she earned a degree in finance.
After college, Rosanna held several jobs - MSA Software in Atlanta and Mariner Health in New London, Connecticut - before embarking on a full-time career as a loving Mom.
Her first born – Kyle - A Trisomy 18 baby- lived only two months but his death inspired her to become fiercely pro-life. In the years following his death she helped mothers going through the same loss. This kindness to others became imbedded in all that she did – especially where her two sons were concerned.
As a devoted mother to Paul and Evan, Rosanna was their biggest supporter in everything they did but most of all she was simply there for them.
Rosanna was preceded in death by her father and mother, by her step-father Peter and by her son Kyle. She leaves behind her loving husband Brian, her two sons – Paul Russell and Peter “Evan,” her brother Gordon, sister-in law Joanne, brother-in-law Peter, her cousin, Funda Eisen, her family in Turkey, mother-in-law Christine Dodge, step-mom Paula Grazzini, Aunt Barbara and many, many friends.
