He traveled to Italy and Denmark and later Taiwan. He sold his company in 2001 and moved to Jasper, Ga to live in the mountains. He and his wife Marilyn traveled extensively, visiting many countries while living there. In 2018 they moved to Woodstock where they continued to travel and enjoy retirement. Stan was an avid photographer and enjoyed taking and displaying his photographs. He also was an enthusiastic fan of University of Connecticut girls basketball.
