Sue Howell Mitchell, 87, of Atlanta died on Sunday, the 7th of November, 2021. She attended Vanderbilt University before marrying her husband, Paul R. Mitchell in 1957. Daughter of the late Charles Ed and Evelyn Yarbrough Howell, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul Richard Mitchell, Jr. Sue was a longtime member of Dunwoody United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Paul R. Mitchell; daughters and son-in-law, Elizabeth Tracy Hastings and James Hastings, Evelyn Ashley Smith; grandchildren, Jon Harrison Fischer, Susan Taylor Head and her husband, David, Colin Hunter Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Carey Shackleford. Private family memorial services will be held.
