Wm. Homer Brisendine, III, 75 of Dunwoody passed away December 15, 2014 at home in the care of his wife. Mr. Brisendine retired from The Department of Public Safety as comptroller. He was appointed by Governor Jimmy Carter and each Governor thereafter until his retirement. He and his wife Pat were high school sweethearts and were married for 55 years. Homer and Pat were world travelers. He loved spending summer vacations with his grandchildren. Homer was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sarah Howell and is survived by his wife, Pat; son, Britt Brisendine and his wife, Sabrina; daughter, Brigett Florentine and her husband, Gary; grandchildren, David Howell, Zach Howell, Sierra Audrey, Hunter Brisendine, Dakota Brisendine, and Quincie Florentine. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Lung Association. A memorial service will be Monday, December 22, 2014 at 2 o’clock with the family receiving friends beginning at 1 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
